- שַׁחְוָן
- שַׁחְוָןor שָׁחוֹן m. (cmp. Syr. שחנה, P. Sm. 412 2) chief of the town garrison, prefect. Gen. R. s. 16 Ar. (ed. שיחין, שיחן, שיחון), v. שַׁחְוַור; (Ar. רבוק לש׳ ויִשְׁחוֹן לך (v. שָׁחַן) stick to one that is hot, and thou shalt be hot).
